Loon Lake is located 27 miles northeast of Cache Creek. Loon Lake is an all year round resort community which accommodates both full time residence and part time or vacation home owners. Loon Lake is 14.5 kilometers long and the perfect recreation lake to get away from the every day stresses of city living.

Relatively undiscovered, Loon Lake still has the small town feel; since only one side of the lake is developed it is never busy. If you are active, the surrounding hiking and biking trails offer great scenery or if you prefer there are plenty of dirt bike and quad trails to take in. The lake is perfect for all water activities boating, wake boarding, skiing, tubing, fishing (trolling and fly), kayaking and swimming. The lake warms in the summer making it perfect for swimming and all active water activities. The lake has a maximum depth of 212 feet and most of the lake shore is undeveloped and attainable by boat access only making this an undiscovered paradise.

Since Loon Lake is accessible year round it is the perfect area for those who also enjoy winter recreation activities. Ice skating on the frozen lake is an activity enjoyed by the locals as well as tobogganing or snowmobiling through the hundreds of surrounding trails. Ice fishing is also practiced in the winter months with great success.

Fishing is enjoyed all year long and the best part is Loon Lake has lots of fish! I's a great family lake for the kids to try fishing because they will always make a catch virtually any time of year.
